Palm Island Sewage Treatment Plant - Design and Commissioning
GANDEN was engaged by the Queensland Government to produce the detailed tender and “for-construction” designs for a new 4,000 EP sewage treatment plant for the Palm Island Community. GANDEN also provided technical support throughout the tender period and construction contract, then commissioned the plant and trained the operators. The design process required close collaboration with the Queensland Government and the Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council to ensure the provision of a treatment plant that was robust, but easy to operate and maintain, whilst still producing high quality effluent.
