GANDEN was engaged by Rio Tinto Alcan to review the water supply for the town of Gove, Northern Territory (also known as Nhulunbuy) for the local Council – Nhulunbuy Corporation. Water was sourced from a number of bore fields, aerated to adjust pH and partially disinfected before being sent to the Rio Tinto operational areas, the town water supply and a number of commercial customers. GANDEN’s review recommended the installation of an additional chlorine gas system. GANDEN developed the concept design and documentation and assisted Rio Tinto Alcan in the capital approvals, tender selection and construction and commissioning supervision.
