As part of the network upgrade for the area serviced by the Wyaralong dam, Seqwater identified the need to increase storage in the Beaudesert area that accepted flow, initially from the existing Beaudesert WTP and, ultimately, the Wyaralong WTP. The reservoirs are configured to run in series or individually with one offline using a manual valve arrangement.

Consideration was given to the future high lift pump station by providing space on the site whilst also including pipework from the valve chamber to a point that would  avoid the need to excavate close to the tanks in the future.

GANDEN used point clouds to assist in 3D design and used a point cloud for “as-built” information to ensure accuracy. The image above shows the point cloud of the existing plant with the new structures overlayed.
